Shippy 24' Training On Time
The juvenile colt continues to train right on schedule in South Florida at Gulfstream Park.
Trainer Gustavo Delgado Jr. reports that he is doing everything asked of him at this stage, and the team is very pleased with how his development is progressing. This past week, he recorded an unpublished speed work and came out of the move in good order.
Enjoy this video of the colt after training on Saturday—he is really beginning to look the part as his foundation continues to build.
Some of you may notice the material on his legs in the video. That is an analgesic poultice, a common post-training protocol used with many racehorses to help draw out heat and reduce minor inflammation after morning exercise.
