quills picks winners

It’s Turfway Park’s big day and they have races that will help to determine who gets to head to the gate for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby. The fillies will race a mile and a sixteenth and the boys will go a mile and an eighth in the Jeff Ruby Steaks (yes, that’s spelled right).

After a winner in yesterday’s featured race, we will take another shot at the Fair Grounds with their featured race of the day. Today, they are on the turf today in an optional claiming race.

The closing day of the Fair Grounds meet gets closer and closer, and Bleacher Brothers and Quills Picks winners will be focused on the New Orleans track this week.

Favored in this maiden race is the 5 Up Country (5/2 ML). He raced for the first time in three months when he appeared here at Turfway last month.
